How do I book?
It’s easy to book your charter with Cotton Boats. Either:
- Search a date and price range and find an available boat you like. Click the “Book Now/Request” button, enter your contact details and we will come back to you. If you prefer, you can also secure the reservation directly by paying the 50% deposit by credit card, PayPal or Sofort payment.

How do I find an available boat on the date I want to go?
Go to https://cottonboats.com/boats-and-yachts/ and search by date, price, boat type and the number of passengers. Only the boats actually available will be displayed.
Can I trust that the boat is available on my selected date?
Absolutely. We offer real-time updates of the availability calendars for all our “Book Now” boats through our advanced technology. For boats labelled “On Request,” we’ll personally confirm their availability and come back to you.
Is the fuel included in the price?
Fuel is not included in the price. When you charter a boat, you have it for the day and can go wherever you like. You will only be charged for the fuel you use during the charter.
Do you have life vests for children?
Yes, we provide life vests for children. Please inform us of their ages for appropriate sizing.
Where is the boat located?
Most of our boats are based in Ibiza Town, with a few in Santa Eularia, San Antonio and Mallorca. The location is indicated for each boat. You’ll receive an email with the meeting point a few days before your charter.
What time do we start?
Charters are 8 hours long and can start from 10:30 onwards. The boat must be back before dark. Extension may be possible for a fee.
Onboard Experience and Amenities
Do the boats have shade?
All our boats have shade, Bimini tops, ensuring protection for all the passengers.
Are there unlimited free drinks onboard?
We offer ice, water, soft drinks, and on larger boats, beer and wine. Supplies are limited, so please let us know about any special requests.
What’s included?
Captain (and crew for larger boats), drinks, and boats above 12m have towels. Details are given for each boat. All prices include 21% VAT. You can choose your destinations, and fuel is charged based on consumption.
Where do we go?
Your charter allows you to explore the island as you please. The captain can suggest destinations based on your preferences and weather conditions. Most of our guests prefer to go to Formentera which has crystal-clear water, amazing beaches and great beach restaurants.
Can I swim and snorkel from the boat?
Yes, you can swim and snorkel from the boat. Snorkeling equipment is available onboard.
Rescheduling and Special Occasions
What if we can’t go due to bad weather?
If bad weather prevents your charter, we’ll reschedule if possible. If not, we’ll provide a voucher for future use. By bad weather, we mean wind above 25 knots or rain at the departure time.
Can I rent a boat for a special occasion?
Absolutely! Our boats are available for birthdays, anniversaries, and more. We can help create a memorable experience.
Can I rent a boat for a corporate event?
Yes, we offer boat rentals for team building, company retreats, and client entertainment.
Pricing and Payments
How do I book?
You can book online or contact us directly. A deposit is required to secure your booking.
What is included in the boat rental price?
Captain, insurance, and drinks/snacks are included. Details are indicated for each boat.
What is not included in the boat rental price?
Fuel consumption, onboard catering, mooring in external marinas and any special requested provisions are not included.
Are skipper fees included in the rental price?
Skipper fees are included for all boats. Ask us about bareboat charter without a skipper.
Boat Specifications and Additional Services
Can I bring my own food and drinks on board during my charter?
Yes, you can bring your own food and drinks, but please check with us for any restrictions.
Can I hire an onboard hostess/steward during my boat rental?
It may be possible to hire a hostess/steward for onboard service. Please contact us.
Preparation and Arrival
What should I bring with me on my charter?
Bring ID, sunscreen, swimwear, a towel for smaller boats and comfortable clothes. Don’t forget your boating license if you have booked a bareboat charter without a skipper.
How early should I arrive for my boat rental?
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before departure for check-in and safety briefing.
Safety and Regulations
Can I navigate at night during my charter?
No, charter boats are not allowed to navigate at night.
Do you have life vests onboard?
Yes, we provide life vests for everybody onboard including the children. Please inform us of their ages for appropriate sizing.
Do you have emergency medical equipment onboard?
Yes, we have a medical kit as required by regulations. We also have seasickness tablets and cream against jellyfish bites.
Do I need a license to rent a boat in Ibiza?
Only if you have a bareboat charter without a captain. If so, you need a valid Spanish or International license for coastal waters.
